Discover the wonders of kayaking through this Introduction to Kayaking course. This program caters to entry-level individuals in diverse settings, prioritizing safety, enjoyment, and skill acquisition. The course covers essential kayak skills, helping ensure participants can perform fundamental tasks independently.

With no prerequisites, this one day course takes place in flat water, providing a secure environment for learning. Comprehensive curriculum includes maneuvering techniques, technical knowledge about equipment, and safety and rescue procedures.

Participants will engage in various activities, from launching and propelling the kayak to performing rescues and gaining awareness of navigation rules. Join us for an exciting journey into the world of kayaking!

Course Fees Include

  • Bilge Pump

  • Paddle

  • Personal Floatation Device (PFD)

  • Sponge

  • Spray Skirt

  • Emergency Whistle

Participants are responsible for bringing their own Kayak, Snacks/Meals, and Wet Suit or Dry Suit as OTS is unable to provide these items at this time. We are happy to recommend local outfitters and restaurants or grocery stores that can supply these components.
