American Camping Association (ACA)

The ACA releases news articles pertaining to the camping community as needed. Most recently they released a notice about a partnership between the ACA and the University of Michigan’s Economic Growth Institute (EGI) in which they launched a “first of its kind” National Economic Impact Study. American Canoe Association (ACA)

The ACA releases community news articles pertaining to the paddlesports community as needed. Most recently they announced that the Safety, Education and Instruction Council (or “SEIC”) will be accepting self nominations for ACA Discipline Committees, At-Large, and International representatives until October 23rd, 2023. American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

The ANSI releases a weekly newsletter with the latest events, news, publications, and other information. You can view the latest edition and sign up for their newsletter here.

Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT)

The ACCT compiles applicable technical notices to the challenge course industry on their website. The latest includes information on upcoming Q&A sessions regarding changes to Wisconsin regulations as well as recall and use advisory notices from ISC, Rock Exotica and CMC. National Ski Areas Association (NSAA)

The NSAA provides educational and advocacy resources pertaining to mountain-inspired recreation on their website. The latest include current COVID-19 practices and updates in legislative and regulatory affairs. You can access news lists here.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

OSHA releases a bi-weekly newsletter with the latest events, news, publications, and other information. You can read past editions and sign up for their newsletter here.

In addition, the OSHA website offers a complete list of Federal Registers and has conveniently sorted their News Releases by subject (such as “Standards and Guidance”) or by date. On any of these pages you can perform an advanced search if you’re looking for something specific.

Scouts BSA (Formerly Boy Scouts of America)

Scouts BSA has a few informational ventures: Scouting Magazine offers resources geared towards troop leaders with the latest events, news, publications, and other information. You can read past editions and download their app here.

Scout Life Magazine is mostly geared towards scouts themselves, but also has a ton of great activity ideas and informational how-to articles. You can read past editions and download their app here.

Finally, the My Scouting online portal offers training for troop leaders to enhance their programs. The latest includes updates to how participants appear on rosters following registration. You can create a free account and start training here.
